Considering how she looks it is no surprise that I decided to give her my trust. But you have to be wary of any workout program that promises to be a quick solution to your problems.
Some things to know about the BBG:
This workout is crazy popular. I know plenty of people who have tried it themselves – although very few have stuck with it. Despite this, even on popular websites such as MyFitnessPal or even Instagram, there a lot of people trying out this particular workout.
The program is broken up into two different sections, with the first and most important section being 12 weeks long. Now, I can tell you right now that very few people have actually finished the 12 weeks.
Furthermore, there are a lot of fake reviews of the BBG. This is because Kayla once had an affiliate program for the workout, which means that people were paid to advertise the workout. There was a huge influx of fake reviews trying to make the program look better than it really was. When you compare all the positive reviews of the bikini body workout, then consider how many people actually follow through with the program to completion, you notice a huge discrepancy.
And lastly, the BBG is freaking expensive. I mean really expensive.
Now I’m sure that Kayla’s guides are as popular as they are for a reason, but honestly, I believe that they are primarily being used by people who can afford to throw their cash at any get thin quick scheme.
What Comes With The BBG
There are a few different bundles of the PDF, and every now and then you can even find a discount for the program, but here are the standard prices:
The initial 12 week programs costs $69.97. Then the advanced, or step 2, of the Bikini body workout costs an additional $69.97. Lastly, you can get the Kayla ItsinesH.E.L.P. Nutritional guide for ANOTHER purchase of $69.97.
This means that to purchase the entire Bikini Body Workout, as intended, you would need to spend $209.91.
Now, I don’t know about YOU ladies, but I don’t have that sort of cash lying around.
Now there is a bikini body bundle, which means that you can spend $119.97 to get the bikini body workout 1.0 and the eating guide and save a total of $19, then you’ll have to purchase the part two of the workout at the full price if you want to continue with the workout.
This will cover you for a total of six months if you follow everything word for word. That’s a little expensive, especially when there are plenty of cheaper programs similar to the BBG workout.
Additionally, there are some hidden costs, such as getting a fitness/heart rate tracker, which Kayla highly recommends. Then she also has her own name brand foam roller, which is of course recommended. There there’s additional equipment such as dumbbells, pull up bars, etc. By my estimate, considering that a fitness tracker is at least $100 and then the other equipment varies in price, you’re looking at $400 total to the follow the BBG to completion.WHOA!

I’m personally disappointed that I spent $119.97 to purchase the bikini body bundle. It’s incredibly expensive, and not even groundbreaking in its content. There’s nothing special about the workout that Kayla created. Many other workouts provide the same sort of workout and guidance for a fraction of the price.
And Jen Ferruggia is one such person. The two workout programs are remarkably similar in their content as far as actual exercise and merit goes. But since Jen Ferruggia costs 1/4 the price of the BBG, Jen is clearly the better program to go with.

And that’s really all that matters – any workout program can work as long as you’re able to stick with it. Between the instructional videos, free nutrition guide, and fun and easy exercises she gave, Ferrugia made it a cinch to lose weight.
